Blood stem cell donation
In our search for the right blood stem cell donors, we cooperate with circa 80 blood stem cell donation registries around the world, as well as with other national and international partners.

Key international stakeholders
- International registries of blood stem cell donors: donor searches and provision of transplant material
- World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA): umbrella organisation for all unrelated-donor registries and global database of all blood stem cell donors (“Search, Match & Connect”), promotion of standardisation within the international cooperation, development of standards and recommendations. Swiss Transfusion SRC is a WMDA-accredited registry and meets the highest WMDA standards.
- European Group for Bone and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT): umbrella organisation for European blood-cancer researchers and bone marrow transplant centres.
- Joint Accreditation Committee-ISCT (Europe) & EBMT (JACIE): draws up the standards for blood stem cell transplantation in Europe.
In collaboration with Swiss Transfusion SRC, the student association Marrow organises a run against leucemia each year.
